The Managing Director of the ALW Group, Eugène Pont, the Vice-President of the Central Europe and Southern Europe Zones, Maurizio Scarpa, the management of the zone and the staff in the new office all attended the event.
The aim of setting up the Central Europe Zone is to seize the opportunities for growth that are now one of the features of the economies in the countries within this area.
After more than a year’s experience and the setting up of the platform in Bratislava, the zone’s structure has recently been modified and it has been divided into two regions, one based in Bratislava and the other in Buzau (Romania). Each of the regions has business development responsibilities in several countries.
The new head office in Bratislava accommodates the management of a sub-zone and the joint marketing, finance, human resources and automation aspects, supplying significant support to each country within the zone.
The main strength of the structure lies in the sharing of experiences between staff from several countries to pinpoint synergies that are useful in developing business within the zone.
The Managing Director, Eugène Pont, wanted to stress the importance of this new organisation for the Group and, during his inaugural address, he stated,
“The Central Europe Zone is one of the main levers on
which ALW can count in order to achieve its
objectives for growth”.
