With the recent acquisition of several welding and cutting brands, Lincoln Electric expands its product range to include Oerlikon & Weldline. This transaction brings together two experienced teams that focus on innovative developments in welding and cutting technology and together offer their customers the industry's most comprehensive range of solutions, technologies and application support.

For the Location Eisenberg (Pfalz) we are seeking a Welding Specialist (m/f). In this role you will perform welding trials to develop new- or to customize existing solutions. You will establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle and to perform service tasks, identify technical problems and make analysis in any Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and programming) for Lincoln Electric’s and Oerlikon´s welding products.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carrying out customer-specific welding tests
• Autonomous preparation of test set-ups
• Providing trainings (products & processes) for customers and sales staff
• Customer advice / Customer visiting concerning problems in welding technique including solution proposals and troubleshooting
• Support in case of complaints/claims analysis
• Presentation / demonstration of welding consumables on customer site and in-house
• Analysis / assessment of welding consumables, especially welding fluxes and new fluxes developed concerning their welding behaviour
• Preparation of weld metal test specimens and welding joints for mechanical-technological testing
• Field service activities, that means support for sales developers, distributors in customer consulting/advice and servicing
• Acquisition of new customers by technical advisory services/consulting

Skills/Competencies:
• 5+ years’ experience in similar role
• European / International welding expert (EWS/IWS)
• Qualified welding specialist manual arc welding, GMAW (MIG/MAG/TIG) (welder demonstrator / welding instructor)
• Submerged Arc Welding experience
• Appropriate technical knowledge to work with clients welding engineers
• Good communication skills (in English and German) with the ability to establish good rapport with customers
• Effective in working in a team environment with moderate supervision and with the ability to work independently and systematically
• In addition to attention to detail, conceptual thinking and a continuous improvement mentality, a valid driving licence and flexibility/ willingness to travel complement the profile
